In 1994, Patrick Ewing, he finally reached the ALCS but lost to the Rockets Hakeem Olajuwon in Houston. The Knicks return to wouldnÂ't end until 1999, when that Ewing would not be a part of the second half of the playoffs with an injured Achilles tendon.
Ewing left the Knicks in 2000, traded to Seattle. But considering the fact that Michael Jordan and Hakeem Olajuwon blocked NBA championships in 8 years, there were many greats of the era that could never win a championship. Karl Malone and John Stockton of the Utah Jazz finally come to mind.
