The Charlotte Bobcats are an interesting team to enter the 09'-10 'season. Why is this so? The Bobcats played well at the end of the season 09 'and hopefully they can continue their end of season momentum. Larry Brown is an excellent teacher of basketball and should keep the Bobcats youth eager for the playoffs. The Bobcats were on the verge of last season but fell short. They showed signs of being a potential playoff team in the near future.
A team of youth basketball usually did not know how to win close games and do well on the road – this must change to a title this season. The Bobcats are in the Southeast Division with the Orlando Magic, Miami Heat and Atlanta Hawks – this suggests that the Bobcats can not win the division, but not to make the playoffs.
The loss of Emeka Okafor can hurt the Bobcats in rebounds in the long run – Okafor was 10th in the NBA averaging 10.1 rebounds per game. The Bobcats acquired Tyson Chandler – Which can be an effective rebounder. During Chandler's career has averaged 9 rebounds per game. Chandler initially was not happy to be a Bobcat at first, but he should be a factor this season. If the Bobcats want to be a playoff threat, guard DJ Augustin must lift their game to a whole new level.
The Bobcats have improved every season since they have been in the league in 2004. Its lowest win total was 15 games, but those days were well beyond the franchise. It is very possible that the Bobcats can make the 8 seed in the East and to Cleveland, Orlando, Boston and fits in the first round match. Charlotte is a great sports town and want a winning basketball team to cheer.
