The baseball season is just around the corner, so parents and coaches of the parents, begins to dig through the garage of his baseball team and begin to stretch your arms and leg muscles rusty. For many communities, children begin his career playing baseball or softball preparations ability called Tee Ball, who is baseball, except the pitcher. In Tee Ball is also spelled T-Ball, children learn the fundamentals of hitting, fielding and base running. For the purposes of this article we will concentrate on batting. In Tee Ball, Batting is done using a Tee which is about waste high the batter. The Tee is a great tool for improving a child's swing. When used properly, the coach can analyze all the components used in a swing and make adjustments subtle or not so subtle swing of a child, the batting position, rotation of the hip and foot work.

To achieve good footwork, I place the tee on top of home plate. I will draw a line perpendicular to the ground with the handle of the bat of the player's ball tee of the average of 45 degrees corner of the base of the Tee's. The line length is approximately 12 inches. Adjust the length according to a comfortable extension of arms each player to swing a bat. The front foot square front to prevent the knee from buckling or bending. Imagine an error below the back foot. I want the boy to smash the imaginary error with a pivot of his hind foot. Approximately 60% of the player's weight should be on the back foot. This is called the "load" position. This axis will your hips toward the pitcher, when a "crushing error." The front foot should stay square and locked the front knee when "crush error "too. The leg can be bent, but do not take a large bathroom with the back leg. Most coaches and parents who played the game when they were young they were taught to take a step toward the pitcher with your front foot when swinging the bat. Most coaches and parents remember taking a step small or a big step. I do not want the player to step foot in front of the "crush the error", since a step will make the player's head to slightly bath when swinging the bat and therefore the player's eyes sink when swinging the bat well. The passage of that precludes a sauce eye when it comes to hitting a breaking ball (eg, curve, slider, etc.) later in the player's career when he or she advances in high school baseball or softball. Using a series batting helmets, barriers to prevent foot in front of the player to take a step if they had been previously trained.
Practice crush error "with a bat lying between the arms and shoulder blades back. They practice the whole team this year, at the same time ensure that they are a good distance of each other. The player can also do this exercise 50 times a day in front of a full length mirror at home. This will be the great player's muscle memory to ensure a proper rotation on each occasion.
After over ten years of coaching youth baseball, which has been my experience that, despite the efforts of parents and coaches, too many children do not learn the basics of batting and fielding and develop bad habits from the beginning. As the progress of these children for the coach pitch league and Kid tone, this means coaches spend many hours trying to correct problems that could easily have been avoided in the Tee Ball or Baseball beginner level. Coaching children, either alone or children in your community, is one of the most rewarding experiences you have. Watching children learn and correctly apply the skills you've taught is tremendously rewarding. I wish him best of luck in his T-Ball, baseball and softball seasons.
