Admittedly, this is probably one of the marketing tips written increasingly rare.
But if you take it to heart, and use it, I think it easier to find that it could sell more with less effort.
Let me ask you a question: Did you ever see the TV show "Seinfeld"? Even 11 years after the cancellation, and watch every episode several times … I still never tire of it.
The other night was a special episode funny.
It was the only one in which George Costanza did everything in opposites.
For example:
He saw a woman hot, sexy in the restaurant, approached her and instead of lying and cheating her on a date, said an unemployed man was short, bald, still living with their parents.
He immediately went with him.
Later, he gets a job interview with the New York Yankees. And instead of kissing the owner, tells how much that the team sucks, and why each of their stupid decisions. "Hire this man!" the owners said.
Anyway, here's the point:
Every time George did the opposite of what they do – what logic and common sense dictates – who "won".
And guess what?
In many ways, it's the same with marketing, too.
Frankly, no, now same, a lot of marketing advice is just wrong … but you can do great damage.
Like, for example, all these so called "hat black "tactics. Or deliberately" fool "people to buy. Or, copywriting, search all the" successful " Internet ads and blindly copy and study them.
Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.
First, the black hat is just a "cool" term "manipulate".
And while you can manipulate people to buy, it's a terrible way to run a business or obtain long-term someone to buy again.
Even with the use of "tricks".
(And by the "trick" I mean, literally, "fool" to do something that would not normally do – such as buying your product.) You do not need tricks if you have a solid understanding of how human beings think, act and make decisions.
In fact, usually only possible to "fool" someone once.
After that, the possibilities for purchase from you again (where the real money) are null and void.
And even I refer to letters of Internet sales copy.
There are some really good ones out there. But there are some really bad. And unless you know the basics, you'll never know the difference, and copies of them can cause much more harm than good.
Anyway, here's the lesson:
To do otherwise, as everyone can give you a leg "Big up".
In fact, just for fun, next time you have something to sell, consider doing it "George Costanza" – otherwise what they all do.
You just might be surprised by the results.
