An interesting part of the history of the Buffalo Bills is the way it got its name, as a result of a contest of names for the team after the Buffalo Bills AAFC. The Bills are merged with the Cleveland Browns in 1950, part of the All-America Football Conference. The original Buffalo Bills are named for the good of Frederick William "Buffalo Bill" Cody. The official mascot is Billy Buffalo. Although there are three New York teams (Bills, Jets and Giants) are bills the ones who really play their home games in the State of New York. The Jets and Giants both play in East Rutherford, New Jersey, which is just outside the city New York.
Beginning with the 2008 season, the Bills team added a home game each year to be played in Toronto for their program. They are currently the only team that has two stadium sites, and only the third in NFL history has had more than one room of the house in a season. In the '60s, projects Bill began playing as part of the AFL. During 1960, the AFL and NFL merged and created a new franchise for the Bills. The Bills first played in War Memorial Stadium, and then moved to Ralph Wilson Stadium in 1973. They have remained there ever since, although the stadium was also known as Rich Stadium Bills Stadium and at some points through the years. As mentioned above, now played a game every year at the Rogers Center in Toronto.
Once it became a part of franchise system in the NFL, Buffalo Bills history became much more noticeable. He faced a 1-13 record in 1971, along with a record score of less points of the season. Lou Saban was rehired in 1972, and the team took a turn for the better. In 1973 the team started playing in their new stadium, and Joe Ferguson became their quarterback again. OJ Simpson, Jim Braxton, Paul Seymour, and Joe DeLamiellure known as the "Electric Company". The "Electric Company", inspired by a success local history of the Buffalo Bills, "Turn on the juice." Electric Company enabled the team to the playoffs in 1974 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. As part of the Buffalo Bills history, this group of players has created many valuable collectibles and objects of market goods.
The rest of the '70s and the decade 1980 was an era of rock in the history of the Buffalo Bills. There were many ups and downs, and a lot of winning and losing seasons. However, in the 1990s, the Bills worked to change in a hurry-up offense, and was brought back into focus. Two major events in the history of the Buffalo Bills are his trips to the Super Bowl XXV and Super Bowl XXVI. A third aspect of the Super Bowl was made in 1992, then again in 1993, making them the only team in NFL history to play in the Four periods of Super Bowls!
Interestingly, three New York teams (Bills, Jets and Giants) draft law are the ones who really play their home games in the State of New York.
