Alex Rodriguez admitted to using steroids from 2001-2003 of yesterday was the latest example of pigmentation and deceit and lies. Young? Not too young to collect big checks! Stupidity, yes, I am willing to agree. Greedy? Check. Selfish? Sure. A hero? No.
They say which will be treated better, because he was honest and admitted steroid use. However, there was not much of an apology was there?
In reading the latest news time only "was clean" after the results were released of the random drug test in 2003 that showed positive tests. Not exactly frank confession in my opinion, especially after his bold are at Katie Couric as recently as 2007 stating that he never used drugs to improve performance. I mean, what about the Texas Rangers and their fans, and now the Yankees organization and his fans and all those record books sacred? Not sure I believe his date of arrest, or the start date for the case …. Alex only knows for sure.
You sports writers have jumped to the possibility of granting clemency in the Hall of Fame vote! I'd like to see 1 / 4 the rest of Alex's contract payment be diverted to Whitey Ford and legitimate Hall of Famer who played and highlighted by the love of the game, to increase the pensions of misery. Only when Alex and other cheaters in the Major Leagues felt in the pocket, can we imagine to be really sorry. Meanwhile, let me tell you, cheating does not pay in the long run, and costs along the way are much greater than anyone could imagine.
Why not admit the obvious Alex while he is in it? Why not admit that remains a drag on the New York Yankees, even without his last confession? Where have gone championship rings are supposed to grace their fingers, once signed Sir Alex?
Why, when the Major League Baseball or National Football League or National Hockey League of matter all that have been constantly plagued by drug cords meatheads dressed as athletes, not tested every week, alternating days of the week of testing? I would have preferred a part of my ticket price puffy funnel to increased frequency of drug test platform that cheaters' own hands, when they have been willing to do the hard (and often long) work to achieve! What kind of example are they giving? Where is the risk and reward level?
Turning a similar note, what is former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich as concerned with what your daughter will think of his conviction and impeachment of a sudden? Somehow I think reached the wrong order! Children are not stupid and the more fortunate have 2 eyes and 2 ears with which to observe and make their own judgments about all adults, especially if their parents.
I need to set a sharp distinction here, however latent between income and Alex Rodriguez's continued defiance over to their respective deception. Alex provides a semblance of hope, for which I am very grateful.
Not all know the saying, fatten pigs, and pigs get slaughtered? Do I have to go back to my days as a farm and produce images of pigs and pigs for people to be able to differentiate and understand?
I refer here to capitalism and all, but good bye to greed and ceaselessly above the law selfishness!
